Lescon Funds

Lescon Funds is a Lagos-based lender serving salary earners, oil and gas professionals, and registered businesses. We replaced its spreadsheet-driven loan operations with one platform: a marketing site, a borrower portal, and an internal operations console.

Client names and results are shared once each client approves public use.

Outcome
Every loan now moves from application to e-signed offer letter in one platform.

The challenge

Lescon Funds offers four loan products, including salary-backed facilities repaid through payroll deduction. Applications, documents, approvals, and repayment tracking all ran through spreadsheets, email, and phone calls. Borrowers had no visibility into where their application stood, and staff spent time chasing documents and calculating schedules by hand. The business needed a way to take applications in and manage them through to disbursement without the manual overhead.

What we did

We designed and built a lending platform around how Lescon actually approves and manages loans. A public website presents the loan products and captures applications. Borrowers get a portal to track their application live and view their repayment schedule, while staff work from an operations console to review, approve, and manage each facility, all backed by a NestJS API with role-based access, notifications, and a full audit trail.

From spreadsheets to a system.

A clearer way to run lending

The new platform connects the borrower's journey with the team's approval workflow.

  1. Applications by phone and email
    Online applications
  2. Documents collected manually
    Guided KYC and document upload
  3. Loans tracked in spreadsheets
    Central operations console
  4. Repayment schedules calculated by hand
    Automatic repayment schedules
  5. Borrowers chasing staff for updates
Live status in the borrower portal

Lending ran on spreadsheets and follow-up calls.

Borrowers and staff work from the same system, with every step recorded.

What we built

  • Marketing website. A fast, mobile-friendly site that explains the four loan products, the application process, and captures enquiries.

  • Borrower portal. Borrowers apply online, upload documents, and follow their application from review through to disbursement.

  • KYC and onboarding. Guided registration collects identity and employment documents up front, so reviews start with a complete file.

  • Repayment tracking. Repayment schedules are generated automatically, with borrowers able to see what they've paid and what's due.

  • E-signature workflow. Loan agreements are generated from application data and signed online, removing printing and scanning.

  • Operations console. A central dashboard where staff review applications, approve facilities, and manage the loan book.

  • Roles, notifications and audit. Three roles with separate sign-in surfaces and concurrent sessions, automated notifications at each stage, and a logged record of every action.

  • Business email. Team email on Lescon Funds’s own domain, set up alongside the new system so staff and customers see one consistent brand.

The result

Lending is now a clear, trackable process instead of a pile of spreadsheets. Management can see the whole business at a glance, and customers can handle their loan from their phone.
